Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P and formerly one-half of the iconic P-Square duo, has shared new insights into the group’s breakup while asserting his position as the only formally trained musician in his family.

Speaking during a recent performance at the AY Live show, Mr P addressed the long-standing comparisons between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye. He claimed that fans’ constant pitting of the two against each other often favoring Paul played a major role in their eventual split.

According to Peter, the favoritism directed at Paul boosted his ego and led to what he described as “misbehavior” that ultimately strained their professional relationship.

Dispelling the notion that he lacked talent, Mr P highlighted his versatility, noting that he can sing, dance, and play both the piano and the guitar talents he feels have often been overlooked
