Lynne Princess, a Kenyan woman, has left many inspired after she shared her story of walking away from the life of a Catholic nun.Speaking openly on her YouTube channel, Lynne shared both emotional and spiritual reasons that led to her decision.

She also posted before-and-after photos, showing her transformation from nun to nurse.

“I joined the convent because I admired how the sisters loved and served God,” she said.

“They were prayerful and kind, and I wanted to be like them.”

After finishing high school in 2012, Lynne attended a “Come and See” program organized by the Church.

She later joined the Daughters of the Sacred Heart, one of the Catholic nun congregations.

The sisters even visited her home and assured her parents that they would take care of her.

“I had to pray a lot. My parents didn’t want me to go at first,” Lynne recalled.

“But with time and the help of Father Alex Kiduma, they allowed me.”

For four years, Lynne went through different stages of religious formation and finally reached the novitiate phase.

But even with her commitment, a part of her still longed for another path.

“I always wanted to be a nurse,” she admitted. “It was something I felt called to, just as much as I felt drawn to sisterhood.”

Her journey took another painful turn when her father passed away during her second year at the convent.

Still, she chose to stay and continue her formation.

However, as time went on, she felt a strong pull toward a different life.

“I had a boyfriend before I joined,” she confessed. “He also went to the seminary, and when I left the convent, he also left the seminary. It’s something that still surprises me.”

Now, Lynne works as a nurse and remains a faithful Christian.

She continues to share her experiences online, hoping to teach others the truth about religious life.

“God never left me,” she said. “And I never left God. I just chose a different way to serve Him.”

Her story has drawn mixed reactions, but most netizens have praised her for her honesty and courage.

“She’s brave,” one commenter wrote. “She followed her heart and her faith.”
