Ssemujju Surprised as Church in Ntinda Raises Sh70 Million Monthly Through Giving

Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda recently shared a surprising experience during one of his visits in Ntinda, Kampala.Speaking to a group, the seasoned politician revealed that he had attended a service at a local church and was amazed to learn how much money the church members contribute each month.
"I visited a church in Ntinda recently, and during a conversation, I was told that they collect about Sh70 million every month from offerings and tithes," Ssemujju said.
The revelation, according to Ssemujju, left him deeply impressed and gave him something to reflect on regarding the power of organized and consistent giving.
He noted how churches manage to rally their members to contribute regularly without any force or government pressure, simply by cultivating a strong sense of community, faith, and trust.
He compared this to political and public fundraising efforts, saying that if people can give so generously to churches.
It’s possible for communities to fund other important causes too like health care, education, or even political movements if they are organized properly and have trustworthy leaders.
Ssemujju added that the church’s ability to raise such large sums monthly proves that Ugandans are not poor in spirit or commitment.
“People are willing to give when they believe in the cause and when the leadership is transparent,” he said.
His remarks have sparked discussions online and in political circles, with many agreeing that institutions can achieve great things if they learn from how churches mobilize and engage people.
Ssemujju emphasized that this kind of giving shows the potential within communities, especially when people feel connected to the vision and trust where their money is going
