Marvin passed away on Thursday, July 10, at the age of 35, leaving family, friends, and colleagues in deep sorrow.Marvin was the son of George Bitature, Patrick’s younger brother, and Carol Bitature. Born in 1989, he belonged to a family regarded among Uganda’s foremost business dynasties.

Though not as publicly known as his uncle Patrick, Marvin maintained a quiet yet impactful life, described by friends as deeply caring, loyal, and driven by integrity.

Details regarding the cause of his death remain undisclosed, but tributes have poured in since news of his passing broke.

Many described him as a humble and kind-hearted man devoted to his family. Col. Edith Nakalema, Head of the State House Investor Protection Unit, said on X,

“I can’t find the words to express how sad I am following the passing of Marvin Beine Bitature… I pray that God gives Marvin’s family and friends the strength they need in this terrible time.”

The funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, July 11, at St. Charles Lwanga Church, Ntinda, starting at 2 PM. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 12, at noon at the family ancestral home in Ibanda District.

Marvin’s death is a painful blow to his family, particularly his father George and uncle Patrick, who nurtured him within a strong family tradition of entrepreneurship and education.

While Patrick Bitature has remained silent publicly, sources close to the family say he is devastated, as Marvin was a trusted nephew who represented the continuity of family values in business and private life.

Beyond his family name, Marvin was remembered for his dedication as a husband and father.

Friends said he balanced ambition with humility, never allowing privilege to overshadow his character. His quiet approach to life stood out in a family often in the limelight.

As Uganda’s elite prepare to pay their last respects this weekend, his passing serves as a somber reminder of life’s brevity.

Marvin leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and quiet dignity, qualities his loved ones say will continue to inspire them through this grief.
