Speacker Anitah Among Suffer Another Heartbreaking Blow as Rebecca Kadaga Recieve Massive Endorsement.

Speaker of Parliament Anita Among’s bid to unseat Rebecca Kadaga as the 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has suffered a major setback after over 70 NRM women leaders from Busoga sub-region threw their weight behind Kadaga.
The endorsement happened during a gathering at Century Resort Hotel in Mayuge District, where women leaders from 12 districts of Busoga met and unanimously backed Kadaga’s re-election.
The leaders praised Kadaga, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, for her unwavering commitment to women empowerment and development in the region.
Kadaga, who has held the position for years, is facing stiff competition from Speaker Among, who is determined to wrestle the influential NRM post from her.
However, the resounding endorsement signals strong grassroots support for Kadaga within her home region, potentially dealing a political blow to Among's campaign.
“We are behind Kadaga 100%. She has been our voice, and we still believe in her leadership,” one of the leaders said.
The Busoga bloc is significant in determining political fortunes within the ruling party, and such open support could tilt the balance in Kadaga’s favor.
As the internal NRM elections draw nearer, the political rivalry between the two powerful women intensifies, setting the stage for a high-stakes contest that may reshape the party’s leadership landscape.
The endorsement marks another chapter in what is shaping up to be a bruising internal party battle
