Group of Ugandans Who Will Cause Museveni to Lose Badly as Revealed by NRM Leaders

A section of ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders has raised alarm over the potential threat posed by a group of Ugandans who could cost President Yoweri Museveni and his party a massive defeat if urgent action isn’t taken to reclaim Buganda region.
During a high-level delegates’ meeting held over the weekend in Arua City, NRM members from West Nile declared that Buganda, which has become increasingly opposition-leaning, is critical to the survival of the NRM.
They blamed the party’s persistent losses in the region for demoralizing its base nationwide.
The leaders threw their weight behind Minister Haruna Kasolo, who is vying for the NRM Vice Chairperson position in Buganda.
They praised his fresh energy, accessibility, and nationwide focus, calling him the most credible figure to win back Buganda voters from the opposition.
Veteran journalist Kim Nass described Kasolo as "youth-centric and pro-people," while others highlighted his impact through programs like Emyooga.
Delegates promised overwhelming support for Kasolo at the upcoming National Conference, describing his candidacy as a key to turning the tide in central Uganda.
They warned that unless the NRM regains trust in Buganda, the region could deliver a humiliating blow to Museveni in future elections.
Their message was clear: ignoring Buganda is a strategic mistake that could cost the party dearly.
“We must reclaim Buganda. Mzee can’t do without it,” one delegate declared, summarizing the urgency
