Grammy-Winning Singer Matt B Returns to Uganda on Business Trip

American based R&B singer and songwriter Matt B is in Uganda for a business trip, he arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday 23rd, July, 2025.
“Thank you for such a warm welcome. So grateful to be back in the Pearl of Africa. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve touched down in Uganda, and this time around I’m bringing a few things that are really special. I’m so excited to share all of this with you all,” he said upon his arrival.
He said that the trip was to connect with his Ugandan friends and fans.
“It’s about Bridging the gap, and making an impact. Dedicating yourself to something that’s greater than you, and lifting others up to take that journey with you along the way,” he added.
Matt B won the Best Global Music Album award at the 2025 Grammys for his album “ALKEBULAN II”.
The album, which features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborations with Ugandan artists Rulz and Zigi Nana, was recognized for its fusion of traditional African rhythms, orchestral arrangements, and spoken word.
This victory marked his first Grammy win and also the first Grammy for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and for East Africa, specifically Uganda
