Museveni Congratulates Kyabazinga on 11th Coronation Anniversary, Birth of Twins

President Museveni has held a cordial meeting with the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope, and his delegation from the Busoga Kingdom to discuss issues of mutual interest and development.
Announcing the meeting on his official X account, the President extended his congratulations to the Kyabazinga on two milestones—the 11th anniversary of his coronation and the birth of twins.
“I met with His Royal Highness the Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV and his delegation from the Busoga Kingdom. We discussed issues of mutual interest, and I congratulate him on his 11th coronation and on the blessing of twins,” Museveni posted.
The meeting, held at State House Entebbe, is part of the President’s wider engagements with cultural institutions to promote social cohesion, development, and preservation of Uganda’s cultural heritage.
Museveni commended the Kyabazinga for his consistent leadership in promoting unity, youth empowerment, and education within the Busoga sub-region. He reiterated his government’s commitment to supporting the cultural institution’s initiatives.
The Kyabazinga, who ascended the throne in 2014, has been instrumental in revitalizing cultural pride and spearheading community-driven programs across the 11 chiefdoms of Busoga.
The birth of royal twins to Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi, whom he married in November 2023, was widely celebrated across the region as a historic moment for the kingdom.
During the meeting, the Kyabazinga expressed gratitude to the President for the warm reception and for the government’s continued engagement with cultural institutions.
Observers say the meeting highlighted mutual respect and collaboration between the state and traditional leadership, seen as vital to fostering peace, cultural preservation, and development in Busoga and beyond.
