“I never thought I would be 40-something and not be married. Maybe that’s the one I lost. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine,” he admitted.

If not music, then what?

Don Jazzy further considered what path he might have taken had he not become a music executive, suggesting he would likely still be involved in music or thriving as an influencer.

Even with this personal trade-off, the producer, who is celebrated for mentoring stars such as Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayra Starr, emphasized that he feels deeply fulfilled by his achievements in the entertainment world.

Don Jazzy’s previous marriage

Before his rise to fame as one of Africa’s most successful music producers, Don Jazzy was briefly married in his early twenties.

He tied the knot with model and writer Michelle Jackson in 2003 while living in London. However, the union lasted only two years before ending in divorce.

Don Jazzy has openly spoken about the marriage in past interviews, explaining that his deep passion for music and dedication to building a career made it difficult for him to balance family life.

Despite the split, he has often described Michelle as a “beautiful soul” and maintains that they remain on good terms
