Daddy Andre has made it clear that he will not be part of his ex-lover Nina Roz’s political campaign in Sembabule District, where the singer is seeking to become the Woman Member of Parliament.

The two musicians, who were once among Uganda’s most admired celebrity couples, enjoyed a highly publicized relationship that even received blessings from both families. However, their romance eventually crumbled amid allegations of infidelity, and both have since moved on to new partners.

During a recent interview with Galaxy TV, Daddy Andre emphasized that he has no personal or professional interest in being part of Nina Roz’s campaign, unless it’s a paid engagement.

“I am Daddy Andre, and if you want to book me for your campaigns, I will send you my manager’s number and you send him the money. It’s politics, not a normal event. I have to get paid,” he said.

The award-winning producer further explained that his past relationship with Nina Roz will not affect his professional boundaries.

“Our relationship ended, and she has another man now. What we had doesn’t matter anymore. It’s strictly business,” Andre added.

Fans have since taken to social media to react, with some praising Andre’s professionalism, while others described his remarks as “cold but honest.”

Nina Roz, who recently announced her political ambitions, has yet to publicly respond to her ex’s comments.

As the 2026 general elections draw closer, it remains to be seen whether the two will cross paths again on the campaign trail
