UEDCL connects 230,000 new clients, focuses on filling staffing gaps
180 days after taking over from Umeme, Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) has connected 230,000 clients and filled all staffing gaps. However, power cuts continue to be a major challenge that clients and the public have been complaining about. Sudhir Byaruhanga spoke to UEDCL Managing Director Paul Mwesigwa, who explained how they are addressing these gaps.
