UPDF, Police crowned champions of 2025 Uganda Handball National League
Uganda Peoples’ Defences Forces (UPDF) won the males’ league whilst Police was crowned as the female league champions.

The 2025 Uganda Handball National league officially climaxed on Saturday, 25th October at the Old Kampala Sports Arena.
Uganda Peoples’ Defences Forces (UPDF) won the males’ league whilst Police was crowned as the female league champions.
UPDF amassed a total of 32 points, four better than second placed Prisons.
Police finished third with 21 points while Uzalendo was fourth on the 9 team log with 18 points.

In the female category, Police women handball club claimed an unprecedented fifth title in a row.
Police women handball team completed the season with 34 points, five between than Prisons.
Victoria University (24), Kyengeza Bees (23) and UPDF (22) completed the top five teams.

Before the closing ceremony, the last games of the season were played.
For women, Kyengeza Bees edged Victoria University 30-29 and Prisons denied Police to win the trophy on an unbeaten run following a 34-30 victory over the champions.
Makerere University smiled past Evergreen (men) 35-30 with center back Ivan Odur Junior officially retiring from the sport as an active player.
Meanwhile, UPDF overwhelmed Prisons 52-43 in another men duel.
