Joshua Zirzkee has made one request to Man United as he nears Old Trafford move

Prior to his upcoming transfer to Old Trafford, Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee is said to have chosen the shirt number he wants at Manchester United.

The Netherlands international is expected to sign a five-year contract with Erik ten Hag’s team after Man United agreed to pay £35.7 million for his services.

Man Utd have been linked to a number of attackers this summer, but Zirkzee of Bologna was the club’s primary target and they have managed to agree a deal to bring him to Old Trafford.

The Mirror claims that Zirkzee has made one major request to Man United.

The Dutchman is reportedly vying for the coveted number nine shirt as he prepares to start his Man United career.

Due to Anthony Martial’s departure from the team at the end of June when his contract ended, the number nine shirt is currently free and Zirkzee has already set his sights on the famous number.

Joshua Zirkzee is expected to complete his move to Man United soon.

To support striker Rasmus Hojlund, United have been searching for a forward, and it appears that Zirkzee is the player they have been looking for.

The striker will become the first Man United signing this summer

After the Netherlands’ elimination from Euro 2024, where the 23-year-old earned his first two caps for his nation, Zirkzee’s transfer to Old Trafford is anticipated to pick up speed.

He will become the first signing of the INEOS era under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his arrival will signal United’s intent to strengthen their squad this summer.

The Dutch international would be hoping to help United perform better next season after the Red Devils finished eighth in the league and exited the Champions League early in the group stage
