PALLISA: Man Commits Suicide by Poisoning Over Nagging Wife
Residents of Dudi Cell, Murukokume Ward, Agule Town Council in Pallisa District have accused a woman of nagging her husband into taking his own life by poisoning.
It is reported that Odeke Moses had an evening within Agule Town Center on Wednesday, 5th November and at midnight went back home where he was served food by his wife, Furumela Adong and happily consumed it all.
However, after the meal, he told his wife to take good care of their children, a statement that shocked her. Soon after, Odeke started feeling week and vomiting.
According to the Bukedi North Region Police spokesperson, ASP Wilfred Kyempasa, Odeke was rushed to the nearest clinic within Agule Town Council where he died at about 2:00AM before being diagnosed.
Kyempasa says Odeke’s body was taken back home with locals reporting that the couple has been embroiled in a long conflict as the wife repeatedly accused the husband of extramarital sex, something that could have caused the suicide.
The matter was reported to Police on Thursday and registered vide Agule SD 04/06/11/2025(PAL 623/205.)
The police commenced the investigation by recording statements from the witness and documented the Crime Scene, meanwhile the body was transported to Pallisa General Hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
