Former Splash Engineer Charles Ruhweza is Dead!

It is a sombre moment for family, friends, and colleagues following the untimely passing of Eng. Charles Ruhweza, a seasoned electrical engineer who once worked with Ntinda Industrial area based Britania Allied Industries Ltd, popularly known for its Splash juice brand.

According to reliable sources, Ruhweza breathed his last on Thursday at Mulago National Referral Hospital, where he had been rushed after suffering from complications related to high blood pressure. His sudden demise has left many in shock, especially those who had known him as a brilliant and humble professional.

Ruhweza, a graduate of Kyambogo University, began his career at Britania Allied Industries, where he served diligently as an Electrical Engineer. His exceptional technical skills and innovative approach to industrial maintenance earned him recognition beyond Uganda’s borders. He later moved to Rwanda, where he contributed significantly to the modernization of their industrial sector before proceeding to Burundi, where he replicated similar achievements, and later returned to Uganda.

Friends and colleagues have described him as a hardworking, visionary, and down-to-earth professional who left a lasting impact wherever he worked.

Ruhweza’s body will be laid to rest today, Saturday, at his ancestral home in Karambi, Fort Portal, where relatives, friends, and former workmates are gathering to pay their final respects.
