Transfer News: Fabrizio Romano reveals what he’s “getting from Chelsea sources”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed some big transfer news that he has been getting from Chelsea sources.

We are heading towards the January transfer window pretty fast now, and fans of clubs will be wanting to know what might be happening in the winter window and what to expect.

Love it or hate it, the transfer window is always entertaining. And Chelsea fans have grown used to being heavily involved in the transfer rumours.

According to a recent report, Chelsea have been expressing a keen interest in signing Real Madrid winger Rodrygo in the January transfer window.

However, Romano has thrown cold water on this transfer rumour to put the fire out on it, at least from Chelsea’s side.

“From Brazil they mentioned Chelsea as a possible solution for Rodrygo.

“But at the moment, what I’m getting from Chelsea sources is very clear; Chelsea are not in negotiations with Rodrygo, and are not in talks with Rodrygo’s camp or Real Madrid.”

There will be interest

It’s not the first time Chelsea have been reliably linked with Rodrygo. Ahead of the summer window of 2025 as well, we were hearing stories of Chelsea being interested in signing him.

So you know that there is very much interest in him from Chelsea’s point of view, and that is all that this original story was saying anyway – it was not saying that Chelsea were in talks with him or with Real Madrid, just that there was some interest for January.

I don’t see it happening anyway and I am pretty sure it will be a quiet winter window for The Blues, but the interest in Rodrygo is and always has been there.
