MURDER SHOCKER! How Mubende based PrimeRose hotel boss’ son butchered employee in cold blood over stolen charcoal…body found minus tongue, finger, and foot!
MUBENDE — Horror has hit Mubende Town after the manager of Prime Rose Hotel — who also happens to be the son of the hotel owner — allegedly murdered one of his long-serving workers and buried him secretly after accusing him of stealing charcoal.
The suspect, Genesis Dduhimbaazi, manager of the Prime Rose Hotel, was this week dragged before the Mubende Magistrates Court together with two accomplices — Gideon Kwehangana and Yoram Tulinawe a.k.a. Kanyankole — over the brutal killing of Ibrahim Mujuni, a 35-year-old tuk-tuk rider who had worked at the hotel for over five years.
The trio was charged with murder and remanded to Kweeri Prison until December 12, 2025, after being denied bail by Grade One Magistrate Chambers Paul Kedi, the Acting Chief Magistrate.
Widow’s Cry for Justice
During the emotional court session, Annet Nagawa, the deceased’s widow, broke down in tears as she pleaded with the government to ensure justice is served.
“I feel a bit relieved because they have been denied bail,” she sobbed. “But I’m still in shock. My husband worked for these people faithfully. I beg the President and the Prime Minister to follow up this case. They have money and can easily buy their freedom.”
Nagawa, now left to raise two young children alone, also demanded that Dduhimbaazi’s father — the hotel owner — take responsibility for supporting her orphaned children.
“His son managed that hotel. My husband served him every day. The least he can do is help my children continue school,” she pleaded.
Murdered
What Really Happened
According to police, Mujuni disappeared on October 10, after reportedly being accused of stealing charcoal from the hotel stores.
Outgoing Wamala Region Police Spokesperson Rachel Kawala said the deceased was last seen being carried on a motorcycle by one of the suspects before his death.
“We arrested three suspects — Genesis Dduhimbaazi, Gideon Kwehangana, and Yoram Tulinawe — following a missing person’s report,” Kawala said. “Our findings show that the deceased was assaulted by his co-workers, leading to his death.”
Police later recovered Mujuni’s body from a shallow grave on Dduhimbaazi’s family farm in Kirangwa, Buwekula South, after Kanyankole confessed and led detectives to the scene.
Chillingly, the exhumed body was found missing several parts — including the tongue, a finger, and one foot — sparking rumours of ritual sacrifice.
Suspected killer Genesis
During interrogation, Kanyankole told police how his boss brought the victim, already badly beaten, and dumped him under a tree before leaving for town.
“He had bruises all over his body. We begged the manager to take him for treatment, but he refused. Mujuni died later that evening,” Kanyankole allegedly confessed.
He added that Dduhimbaazi later ordered them to dig a grave and bury the body secretly.
“They forced me to join in even though he was my friend. I feared for my life,” Kanyankole said.
Family in Shock
Relatives described Mujuni as a humble, hardworking man who had faithfully served the hotel for years.
His sister Babrah Ninsiima condemned the gruesome killing, wondering how a “trusted hotel” could be linked to such horror.
“If a manager can murder an employee, what about customers?” she fumed.
Justice Awaits
The case has shaken Mubende residents, many calling for the closure of Prime Rose Hotel until investigations are complete. The suspects will reappear in court on December 12, 2025, as police continue gathering evidence.
Meanwhile, the widow and her family are pleading for help to raise Muju
ni’s children — and praying that money and influence won’t bury the truth.
