Man Murdered, Body Found Decomposing On The Roadside With Dead Pig Parked In A Green Sack

Buikwe District residents were left shocked after a suspected mob killing was reported in Kafumbe village, Bbibo parish, Kawolo sub-county, Lugazi municipality. According to the territorial police, the incident is believed to have occurred during the night of December 5, 2025, though the exact time remains unknown.

The following morning, on December 6, at around 6:00 a.m., Jane Namayega, the area chairperson, received alarming information that a male body had been discovered along the Lugazi-Kasokoso road. Disturbingly, authorities reported that a dead pig had been placed in a green sack at the crime scene, adding a mysterious and gruesome element to the incident.

Upon receiving the information, the chairperson rushed to the scene to confirm the report. She then immediately contacted the Lugazi police station, who arrived to secure and manage the crime scene. The victim, believed to be an adult male around 35 years old, was taken to Kawolo Hospital mortuary, where he awaits identification and a postmortem examination.

Police investigations are ongoing, as authorities work to uncover the identity of the victim and the motive behind the shocking mob attack. The community remains in shock, and officials urge anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving the case.

SP Hellen Butoto of the Pro Ssezibwa Region confirmed that inquiries are still underway and assured residents that the police are committed to bringing justice to the victim and his family.
