KADAGA: Am In My House Not In Any Hospital, Stop Spreading Rumors

Over the last 10 days, rumors have been swirling especially on social media revealing how long serving Kamuli women legislator, 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African affairs Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga how she was critically ill and admitted in hospital.

Rumors further suggested that the iron lady from Kamuli had been airlifted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. These rumors spread for days until her campaign team in Kamuli came out to clarify that the former speaker had only gone to Nairobi to meet her doctors after a tumultuous campaign season which saw her exit NRM’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) in humiliation.

Neither government which she servers as minister, nor the ministry she heads came out to give an official statement until now. Now through her X account formerly twitter, Kadaga has clarified that she has never been near Aga Khan Hospital in recent days and netizens should stop spreading such rumors.

Ahead of the Elections, Kadaga who has been in politics for over 35 years is seeking to continue being the Women Member of parliament for Kamuli District which she has represented for the last 30 years.
