King Saha claims responsibility for UNMF’s collapse and artists’ flop
King Saha has claimed responsibility for the downfall of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), saying he “beat it hands down” and caused both the organization and its artists to flop.
Saha, who has for years been openly critical of UNMF president Eddy Kenzo, said he takes pride in what he described as dismantling the entire establishment-backed federation.
Speaking confidently, the singer insisted that his influence exposed the federation’s weakness and lack of genuine support from the public.
I put them on the ground from the big one to the small one. They even went to Kyotera for President Museveni’s campaigns but failed to get people there. I told you all, this is given by Allah. I finished the Federation.
King Saha is closely aligned with the National Unity Platform (NUP) and its leader Bobi Wine, while UNMF leadership, including Kenzo, has largely been associated with the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
This political divide has fueled ongoing tension between Saha and the federation, though Kenzo has consistently avoided publicly responding to Saha’s attacks.
King Saha further backed his claims with his own achievements, bragging that he sold out Lugogo Cricket Oval twice this year. He added that he would have staged a third concert if not for the year “running too fast.”
Those musicians flopped. They are just wasting time. They cook rice for them at rallies and pass time. Check on your musicians because they might have a bad Christmas.
