Eddy Kenzo has ignited a fresh political and entertainment storm after accusing Bobi Wine of building his fortune on President Museveni’s stability — and then turning against the very system that made him rich.

Presidential advisor and award-winning musician Eddy Kenzo has launched a sharp attack on opposition leader and fellow artist Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine), claiming that his wealth was accumulated thanks to the peace and stability ushered in by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber, Kenzo argued that Bobi Wine’s current lifestyle is a direct product of Museveni’s leadership and questioned why he would now oppose the government.

“Bobi Wine is rich today because of President Museveni,” Kenzo said.

“He assumed wealth on the stability and peace brought by Museveni. His home sits on over seven hectares of land, he owns a beach and many other properties which he acquired during Museveni’s reign. He should be working with government instead of opposing it.”

Kenzo further suggested that Bobi Wine, as one of Uganda’s most successful musicians, should be helping the next generation by promoting financial discipline and long-term planning rather than focusing on political confrontation.

“At this time, he should be working with government to guide young musicians on saving and building better lives from music,” Kenzo added.

The comments have already triggered strong reactions from both NRM and NUP supporters online, reigniting one of Uganda’s most persistent rivalries — where music, money and politics continue to collide.
