Woman’s Lover Allegedly Sets Her House on Fire

In a dramatic turn of events in Kitega Village, Mukono , a rental belonging to one Ritah Namutebi was reduced to ashes by her alleged boyfriend.

Namutebi who returned from weeks away to celebrate the New Year, was shocked to find her home completely engulfed in flames.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the KMP deputy spokesman says preliminary reports indicate that the fire may have been deliberately set, and police suspect a man known to Namutebi, described as her lover, may be involved. The two had reportedly had ongoing domestic disagreements, and Namutebi had previously received threats from him.

The blaze destroyed all property inside the home, leaving nothing to the eye. Owoyesigyire reveals that the police visited the scene, collected evidence, and are tracing the suspect.
