50 Cent Wins Legal Victory In Multi-Million Dollar Wiretapping Case

50 Cent has won a legal victory involving a multi-million dollar case regarding wiretapping.

Earlier this week, a judge dismissed a $4 million lawsuit against the G-Unit icon, filed by Michael Caruso earlier this year.

Caruso said he illegally recorded a conversation at his office before giving it to lawyers to use in these proceedings. The court sided with 50 by saying that Caruso waited too long to file the complaint.

“These claims are time-barred. Caruso has known about the fact of the recording since 2021 and has been on inquiry notice as to who made the recording since that time,” Judge Melissa A. Crane said. “It is now 2024. The statute of limitations is two years. Hence, the claim is time-barred.”

It’s been a good August for Fif on the legal front.

Earlier this week, he avoided having to pay $1 Billion to a former drug lord who claimed his life story was the source material the rapper used to create his popular Power franchise.

According to AllHipHop, the G-Unit Films and Television mogul beat three separate legal claims levied against him by Cory “Ghost” Holland.

Their ordeal started in 2021, when Holland filed a lawsuit against Fif, Power co-creator Courtney Kemp, Starz and Lionsgate, claiming that the series borrowed heavily from his life without his permission. Holland alleged that he had documented his story on a CD, which he sent to a Kemp’s father, asking for help to get out of the drug game.

In a separate legal claim, Holland accused 50 Cent of harassment, saying the rapper had sent his “goons” to intimidate him. In a third lawsuit, the man charged Lionsgate and Starz with failing to protect him from the threats made by 50 and his alleged henchmen.

However, Judge Analisa Torres officially dismissed all three cases.

The professional and legal victory came just ahead of 50 Cent’s upcoming appearance at Invest Fest in Atlanta, set to take place August 24-25.

Fif will be leading the stacked lineup that includes the likes of Steve Stoute, T.I.Wyclefwill.i.amZaytovenStephen A. SmithLauren London and many more.
