Top JAAT Officer Spotted In Armed Robbery Saga

Intelligence Chiefs have been thrown into total fear and panic after they received verified intelligence report that a senior officer attached to Joint Anti Terrorism Taskforce (JAAT) has been named in the ongoing robbery sagas across the Country, Spyreports has exclusively established.

According to our highly placed sources, the officer whose particulars are known but cannot be revealed at this stage, holds a rank that ranges between SSP to CP and has been involved in several operations. “The officer was active during elections and even fully participated in Primaries,” Reveals a senior security source.

Sources say his name came in after a robbery suspect was arrested and found in possession of the latest rifle belonging to Police. “After the suspect was interrogated,he accused one of the CT commander of being behind the gang that have been conducting armed robberies,” Says another inside source.

Intelligence sources say the arrest of the suspect followed the right shoot out in Kira Municipality in which police recovered gun belonging to Counter terrorism unit of Uganda police. During the rapid shooting police recovered the gun. “One goon was shot dead during fire exchange while others surrendered with guns,” Says a senior security source.

Efforts to get comments from Police were futile as the Spokesperson Kitumwa Rusoke could not pick our calls.
