Content creator Lord Elektra, real name Kyomuhangi Betnah, has publicly apologized to Christine Nampeera Tendo following a dramatic fallout that recently saw her spend a night in jail.

The two, who had long presented themselves online as close “besties,” took to their respective Instagram accounts on Wednesday evening to release detailed statements aimed at clarifying their separation and the nature of their working relationship.

In a lengthy apology, Lord Elektra admitted fault and took full responsibility for the statements she previously made about Nampeera on social media. She clarified that their relationship was strictly a public working arrangement based on friendship and nothing beyond that.

I wish to issue a sincere and unreserved apology to Nampeera Christine Tendo, her mother, and her family for statements I made about her both directly and indirectly on social media.

She acknowledged that she allowed personal emotions to interfere with how she handled the situation, admitting that her posts were made out of anger and emotional pain.

Elektra further confessed that the allegations she shared were not true and were intended to cause pain and shame. She formally retracted all previous statements, expressed deep regret over the impact they had on Nampeera’s personal and professional life, and committed to never speaking about or referencing her again on any platform. She also asked for forgiveness from Nampeera, her family, and the public.

On her part, Christine Nampeera also issued a statement, taking responsibility for her own public remarks, particularly regarding the financial side of their former arrangement.

She apologized for any confusion her earlier statements may have caused and clarified that their financial situation evolved over time.

Nampeera explained that during the first six to seven months, Lord Elektra contributed more financially. However, as circumstances changed, Nampeera offered to shoulder more responsibility while Elektra transitioned back into full-time content creation. She noted that although Elektra continued contributing, it eventually became insufficient to maintain their shared lifestyle, leading to frustration.

Instead of handling this privately and maturely, I allowed frustration to get the best of me and spoke publicly. For that, I take responsibility.

She said that the matter should have been handled with more discretion, given that it was both a friendship and a working relationship.

Nampeera concluded by reaffirming her commitment to using her platform responsibly and expressed hope that the statements would bring clarity and allow all parties to move forward peacefully.

The apology comes days after Lord Elektra made allegations against Nampeera via Snapchat, claims that Nampeera deemed defamatory and responded to through legal action.
