NUP EC Boss Abducted On Gun Point

The Chairperson of the Electrol Commission (EC) in the National Unity Platform (NUP) the leading opposition Political Party in Uganda Harriet Chrmtai was violently abducted on gun point at her home in Kapurchorwa, Spyreports has learnt.

The shocking news which left many NUP leaders in total fear for their lives was announced by NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya on his X page early morning.

He says the EC Boss was abducted at home at around 11:00pm . “Heavy armed men raided the home and ordered her to go with them. Ordinary people tried to put up some Resistance but gunshots were fired to subdue them,” Says Rubongoya.

He added that she was driven towards Mbale side to unkwon location. He further explains that the number of NUP leaders who are either missing or in detention keeps rising more so those who had a role to play in managing elections.
