BUTEBO: Hit –Run Motorcycle Accident Leaves 4 Police Officers Injured
A hit-and-run accident involving two motorcycles occurred in Butebo District, on February 4, 2026, at around 8:35 pm.
The accident according to Fredrick Kyempasa, the Bukedi North region police spokesperson left four Special Police Constables (SPCs) injured. Identified the SPCs as Mulabi Peter, Hiira Joshua, Napenda Wilber, and Oluoko Isah.
He says Hiira Joshua and Napenda Wilber are admitted at Kanginima Health Centre, while Mulabi Peter and Oluoko Isah sustained minor injuries.
He adds that the accident happened at Disiri trading centre near Kanginima primary school when the SPCs were returning back from duty in Maizimasa S/C when motorcycle ridden by SPC Mulabi Peter while carrying 3 other SPCs was hit by a yet to be identified motorcycle.
The motorcycle UEX 424V is at Kanginima police station pending inspection. Investigations are ongoing.
