JINJA CITY: Police Arrests Crafty Man for Turning Mark X into Pickup

A man has been arrested for illegally modifying his Mark X car into a Pickup.

Without divulging the identity of the culprit, SP Michael Kananura, the Traffic Police Spokesperson said in a statement today, Friday, February 6, 2026 that the vehicle was impounded at Jinja Bridge after it was found to be illegally modified.

“Imagine a Toyota Mark X converted into a pickup. Such vehicle modifications are unlawful,” writes Kananura on his X-Handle.

He says that under the #Arrive #Alive Phase II operations, no stone will be left unturned in enforcing road safety & compliance.
