I Have Never Demanded The Ambulances Back From My Constituents – Geoffrey Lutaaya
Singer-turned-politician Geoffrey Lutaaya has come out to dismiss reports claiming that he demanded ambulances back from his constituents following his election loss in Kakuuto Constituency earlier this year.
In January, social media was awash with claims that Lutaaya had allegedly recalled the ambulances he donated to the area after failing to win the parliamentary seat — a move that sparked outrage among locals.
However, speaking in an interview with a local TV station, Lutaaya rubbished the allegations, describing them as baseless rumors meant to tarnish his name.
According to Lutaaya, he has never at any point asked for the ambulances back and has no intention of doing so.
He added that the ambulances, together with other vehicles he donated, will continue serving the people of Kakuuto as they were intended.
Lutaaya further revealed that he is in the process of officially transferring all the logbooks and relevant documents so that the vehicles can fully belong to Kakuuto Constituency and be managed by the concerned authorities.
“I just can’t do such a thing, those are just rumors. I have never demanded any of those ambulances, and I am even planning to change all the cards to Kakuuto Constituency so they can continue serving the people,” Lutaaya explained.
The singer-turned-MP aspirant emphasized that his service to the people goes beyond elections and positions, insisting that his contributions were made out of genuine love for the community.
