Despite being one of Uganda’s most consistent hitmakers for nearly a decade, musician John Blaq says he is still hungry for more and is now eyeing major collaborations with Rema Namakula and Sheebah Karungi.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station, John Blaq revealed that he has always admired the two songstresses and believes working with them would be a big milestone in his career.

The singer disclosed that he once almost landed a collaboration with Rema Namakula, but the project collapsed after being tossed around by different middlemen.

According to John Blaq, the failed deal discouraged him at the time, but he still hopes to one day make it happen.

He also expressed strong interest in doing a one-on-one project with Sheebah Karungi, noting that although they have appeared on the same projects before, they have never done a song as just the two of them.

“I would like to do a song with Rema and Sheebah. I almost did one with Rema but some people tossed me around and I gave up. For Sheebah, I really want a song with her, just the two of us. I have worked with her on projects before but they involved other people, I want one for just us,” John Blaq said.

The revelation has since excited fans, with many already imagining how a John Blaq and Sheebah or Rema collaboration would sound like.
