Bryan White’s wife, Nalunga Daisy, and three other accused persons have been further remanded until March 17, 2026, as investigations into an alleged human sacrifice case continue.

The suspects appeared before the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to receive an update on the status of investigations related to the death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama.

However, Bryan White himself did not appear in court. His lawyers informed the court that he is still held at Luzira Prison, where he is reportedly receiving medical treatment.

Bryan White faces multiple serious charges, including human sacrifice, manslaughter, doing rash and negligent acts causing death, possession of marijuana, conspiracy to commit a felony, and giving false information. Upon conviction, manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, while human sacrifice is punishable by death under Ugandan law.

According to the prosecution, Bryan White, together with Nalunga Daisy, Nakato, and Abaho, allegedly conspired to murder Nalubwama for ritual purposes. The state alleges that on October 22, 2025, in Kyamula Zone, Makindye Division, the accused killed Nalubwama in furtherance of witchcraft, ritual, or other unlawful practices.

Prosecution further claims that between October 22 and October 27, 2025, at Kiruddu Hospital, Bryan White unlawfully caused Nalubwama’s death by burning. The charge of rash and negligent acts stems from allegations that he handled combustible materials recklessly and failed to take necessary precautions against probable danger.

Court was also told that Bryan White was found in possession of marijuana leaves and seeds stored in bottles, classified as a narcotic drug.

In a chilling account, prosecutors allege that Bryan White, Nakato, Nalunga, and Abaho set fire to candle wax in a room while massaging Nalubwama’s body with a mixture of petrol and ghee, as they consumed honey, acts said to have been part of a ritual.

The four are also accused of giving false information to police officers, including Detective Bruce Tumwebaze and Inspector of Police Betty Monica Kyakuwaire, at Mildmay Uganda Hospital, Katwe Police Station, and Kampala Metropolitan South offices. They allegedly claimed that Nalubwama sustained burns and was admitted to Kiruddu Hospital, while evidence shows she had been burned and admitted to Mabirizi Nursing Home.

Prosecution contends that the accused knowingly provided false information, thereby misleading investigators.

Meanwhile, Nambalirwa, another accused person, faces charges of manslaughter and doing rash and negligent acts causing death. The prosecution alleges that she caused Nalubwama’s death by negligently refusing to refer her to a main hospital for advanced medical treatment. Although her actions may not amount to intentional manslaughter, the state argues that her negligence directly contributed to Nalubwama’s death.
