Ex-NTV Journalist Dean Lubowa Saava Takes Plea Bargain in Defamation Case
Dean Lubowa Saava, who is facing charges of defamation and operating without a license, appeared before court today and entered into a plea bargain agreement.
Saava conceded to the charges as part of the plea arrangement during the court session. The details of the agreement were not immediately disclosed in court.
The presiding magistrate adjourned the matter to Friday this week, when Saava is expected to return to court for the final ruling.
Saava was previously charged with defamation and operating without a valid license, offenses that have drawn public attention.
Court officials indicated that sentencing or further directives will be issued once the ruling is delivered at the next hearing.
