KAMPALA! Police Arrests Prime Suspect in Dave Hotel & Suites Double Murder, Robbery

Police have arrested a prime suspect in the Dave Hotel and Suites double murder and robbery that took place on Friday, 7th February, 2026.

This was revealed today, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 by the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, SP Rachael Kawala in a brief statement.

Kawala says that following the double murder incident that occurred on 07/02/2026 at Mbumbi Zone, Lungujja Parish, Rubaga Division, Kampala, police have made a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigations.

She says that on 09/02/2026, credible intelligence was received regarding the whereabouts of the motor vehicle registration number UBH 633M, which had gone missing after the incident.

“Acting on this information, police swung into action and apprehended two suspects on 10th Feb 2026 and also recovered the above motor vehicle,” says Kawala adding that the prime suspect has been identified as Ssempala Allan.

The double murder and robbery at Dave Hotel and Suites in Mbubi Zone, Lungujja Parish left the hotel manager Asasira Shivani (30), and Musinguzi Lawrence (about 27), a security guard at the facility dead.
