JINJA: GISO Arrested for Burning Brother’s Wife Vehicle

Tadeo Yuda, 40, the GISO (Government Internal Security Officer) of Kakira Town Council, has been arrested in connection with the burning of a vehicle belonging to his brother’s wife in Jinja district.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 11, at around 2:30 am at the home of Innocent Ngaya, the suspect’s brother, in Kakira Town Council. Police responded quickly, and a sniffer dog led detectives to the suspect’s sitting room, leading to his arrest.
According to James Mubi, the Police PRO Kiira Region, preliminary reports suggest the arson attack may be linked to ongoing family disputes and political differences between the brothers, who supported opposing candidates in the recent MP elections for Butembe constituency.
He says Yuda was already on police bond for a separate case of malicious damage to church property in Wairaka, Jinja district. Investigations are ongoing, and updates will be provided.
