In a related development, Police at Jinja Road Division have arrested four suspects linked to a series of robberies in Naguru and surrounding areas. The arrests followed a robbery reported on February 13 in Naguru Kasenke II involving a victim identified as Igelet.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects are connected to multiple cases of simple and aggravated robbery, often targeting pedestrians during early morning and late evening hours using pavers and other blunt objects.
The suspects have been identified as Akbar Ashraf of Binyonyi Zone, Naguru Parish II, Nakawa Division, and his alleged accomplices Wachini Junior, Oketch Robert and Ogolo George.
Police say the suspects will be charged and produced in court once investigations are completed.
