Prime Witness in Mob Murder Case Goes Missing for 36 Days in Wakiso

A 39 year -old woman has gone missing leaving relatives in suspicion that she might have been kidnapped and probably dead. The missing woman is identified as Deborah Nakitende Namukasa, a resident of Kireka zone, in Kira Municipality, Wakiso district.

Nakitende reportedly went missing on January 10, 2026, after she was meant to testify in a mob justice case which claimed a life of one of the locals in her village.

But prior to her disappearance, she used to be trailed by unidentified persons who would regularly follow her whenever she left work. Following continuous trails, she became suspicious and reported the matter to Kireka police station, but her complaint was taken lightly and no statement was recorded from her, according to one of her relatives.

It’s reported that Nakitende returned home pondering on the next step to take and on that very day, she received an anonymous call threatening her life in the event she goes on to testify in a matter which was occasioned by the mob.

A close relative who also told this reporter that when Nakitende briefed him about the situation she was going through, he advised her to be security conscious but unfortunately after a few days she went missing and her known phone contacts are switched off till now.

Apparently, her relatives live in fear following her disappearance and her whereabouts are still an unknown.
