Two Killed in Deadly Bus Crash on Mbarara–Bushenyi Road
BUSHENYI, Uganda — Two people died on the spot, while several others sustained injuries, following a fatal road accident involving a passenger bus and a Toyota Noah along the Mbarara–Bushenyi Road in Rwentuha Town Council, Bushenyi District.
The crash involved a Tausi bus traveling from Kampala to Bushenyi, which collided with the Toyota Noah reportedly heading in the opposite direction.
Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, leaving the smaller vehicle badly damaged and trapping some occupants inside the wreckage.
Residents and other motorists rushed to the scene and helped rescue survivors before police and medical teams arrived.
The injured were later transported to nearby health facilities for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary.
