NAMISINDWA: Missing 11 Year Old Girl’s Body Found Dumped in River

A shocking incident happened at Bupoto sub-county, Namisindwa district, on Thursday, 5th March, 2026 where a body of 11-year-old girl was found dumped near a river. The minor, daughter of Timbiti Bosco, was earlier reported missing.

According to Isaac Mutambo, an eye witnesses, the deceased had disappeared from their home on Tuesday this week only for her body to be discovered dumped in a nearby River.

He says those unknown people might have first sexually abused the girl before murdering her because they got the body half naked.

Timbit, the father of the deceased urged police to carry out thorough investigations and have the culprits arrested for justice to be seen to be served.

SP Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying police officers responded and have taken the body to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem.

He cautioned parents against not monitoring their children especially girls which may lead to similar occurrences.
