Businessman Ssenyonjo, his two children die in Entebbe Expressway crash
ENTEBBE – A prominent businessman, Ssenyonjo Bosco, and his two children have died in a tragic road crash that occurred early Monday morning at the Impala Interchange along the Entebbe Expressway.
According to Traffic Police spokesperson Michael Kananura, the fatal crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. on March 16, 2026, involving a Toyota Land Cruiser, registration number UBG 734S.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ssenyonjo, a businessman and resident of Masaka, was driving with members of his family towards the Entebbe side when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to speeding on the expressway.
Police say the vehicle first rammed into the base of a street light pole before crashing into a road pillar and overturning several times.
As a result of the crash, Ssenyonjo and two of his children died instantly at the scene.
Two other occupants in the vehicle sustained severe injuries.
Traffic Police officers who responded swiftly to the scene rescued the injured victims and rushed them to Grade B Hospital, where they received first aid before being referred to another medical facility for further treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to City Mortuary for postmortem examinations as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
Police have urged motorists to observe speed limits and exercise caution while using the expressway and other major highways to avoid similar tragedies.
