McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal Extended Until December: More Discounts Coming Soon

McDonald's $5 meal deal has been extended yet again, making the affordable dinner option available for even longer than expected, according to The Associated Press. Instead of being a limited-time offer, the $5 meal deal, which includes a choice between a McDouble or a McChicken along with a small fry, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a small drink, will now be available at most U.S. locations until December. The promotion, initially introduced in June, was originally set to end after a month but has been extended multiple times since then.

Burger King Joins in with Extended $5 Meal Deal

In response to McDonald's offer, Burger King has also extended its own $5 meal deal until October, as reported by the AP. Taco Bell, on the other hand, has introduced its Luxe Cravings Box for $7, while Subway recently wrapped up a promotion offering any footlong sub for $6.99 last week. Wendy's, meanwhile, continues to offer its $5 Biggie Bag promotion, which now includes a free Frosty when ordered through the company's app.

Special Discounts for National Holidays

Aside from the $5 meal deal, McDonald's will also be providing additional discounts in celebration of specific "national holidays," according to "Good Morning America." For example, on September 18, National Cheeseburger Day, customers can enjoy 50-cent double cheeseburgers. National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day on November 9 will feature a $2 McCrispy Chicken Sandwich. Additionally, on November 4 and December 2, customers can purchase a 10-piece Chicken McNugget for just $1. As always, it is recommended to verify with local restaurants to ensure they are participating in these promotions.
