Police Officer Attached to Naguru Dies in Motorcycle Crash Along Masaka–Mbarara Road
Police in Masaka Region are investigating a fatal road crash that claimed the life of a 21-year-old police officer.
The deceased has been identified as Police Constable Sserugga John Fisher, attached to the Field Force Unit (FFU) in Naguru. The incident occurred on March 20, 2026, at around 12:30 PM at Kyangoma along the Masaka–Mbarara road.
According to preliminary reports, PC Sserugga was riding a police motorcycle, registration number UP 03920 (Kibo), when he reportedly lost control, hit a stone, and died on the spot.
His body was later taken by relatives to Kaganda in Lwengo District without notifying police authorities.
Police visited and documented the scene, drew a sketch plan, and conducted a postmortem examination from the deceased’s home. Relevant police forms, including PF 48A and PF 48C, were issued.
Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson SP Twaha Kasirye confirmed the incident, adding that investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
