Forensic Expert Confirms no Ponographic Material Sent by Pastor Kayanja
Nine youths who are standing trial of tarnishing Pastor Kayanja’s reputation has resumed before the Mwanga 11 court with an intese cross- examination of the police's forensic expert Enock Kanene.
The youths are also charged with trespassing onto his church premises and giving false information to police.
As today's proceedings continued, the courtroom atmosphere grew increasingly charged when a forensic expert, Kanene Enock, took the stand to be cross -examined.
During cross-examination led by Chief State Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya, the court was presented with a series of communication records.
Kanene has confirmed under cross -examination that he was in frequent contact—over 40 times—with one of the accused, Israel Wasswa whom he also physically met prior to examining the exbhited phone and issuing a forensic report.
This revelation triggered a heated exchange, with Kanene visibly agitated as he defended his integrity insisting his report is independent.
When confronted with a chat proving his constant communication with one of the accused Wasswa Isreal , Kanene became visibly agitated and informed the magistrate that he is going to lose this job due to this testimony.

Muwaganya started off his examination by a playing a news clip by one of local TV stations which purported that Kanene had testfied that he found of pastor Kayanja sharing ponography to the accused.
However, under intense questioning, Kanene clarified a critical point: “After a thorough examination of the phone, I never found any evidence of pornographic material inform of texts , Watsup messages or videos sent by Pastor Kayanja.”
Pressed further, as to whether his failure to present the chat in chrornological order will not distort the context of the communication between the parties , Kanene admitted that his report doesn't include all extracted WhatsApp messages .
The cross-examination also exposed inconsistencies in the report’s formatting. Kanene conceded that certain page numbers had been manually altered. despite him acknowledging that the page numbers were computer generated.
“There was a mistake and I altered it by pen,” he explained, attributing the error to a printer.
Muwaganya questioned Kanene’s qualifications and independence, highlighting that a senior officer, ASP Musiime Hillary, had authored another report after examining the same report..
Kanene acknowledged, “He is senior to me in rank and academic knowledge and his report is more detailed in text than mine ".
