BLOOD @ HOME! Wife Kills Top Gov’t HR Boss in Kireka
Shock, grief, and disbelief have engulfed family, friends, and colleagues following the brutal murder of a senior government official in a chilling domestic tragedy that unfolded in the quiet suburb of Kireka, one of the six wards/townships that make up Kira Municipality under n Wakiso District in the Central Region of Uganda.
The deceased, Moses Omaido, a respected Principal Human Resource Officer at the Local Government Finance Commission, was reportedly killed in the early hours of Thursday, March 26, 2026 morning—allegedly at the hands of his own wife.
Details surrounding the gruesome incident remain scanty, but sources say the attack happened inside the couple’s home, turning what should have been a place of safety into a scene of horror.
The tragic news was confirmed by his brother, Omaido Abraham, a former Town Clerk of Soroti City East, who spoke on behalf of the grieving family of Papa John Calvin Omaido of Kalengo Village, Ngora District.
In an emotional message, the family described Moses as a dedicated public servant whose life was cut short in a cruel and untimely manner.
Before his current role, Omaido had built a solid career serving in Ngora and Oyam district local governments, and also worked with the Uganda National Bureau of Standards and the Uganda National Meteorological Authority.
His body has since been transferred to Mulago Hospital Mortuary as police begin investigations into the shocking murder.
By press time, authorities had not yet released an official statement, leaving many questions unanswered as the nation reels from yet another case of deadly domestic violence.
Burial arrangements are yet to be announced.
