The boys’ football final between Jinja Comprehensive Secondary School and Jinja S.S is the talk of town in Jinja city.

These two rival schools lock horns on Wednesday, 1st April 2026 in Jinja city.

To advance to the final, Jinja Comprehensive S.S edged Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) 1-0 courtesy of George Ikwagati’s strike.

On the other hand, Jinja Secondary School ejected Lake Side S.S Masese in post match penalties after normal time had ended 1-goal apiece.

Isaac “Ozil” Kitakuule, head coach at Jinja Comprehensive Secondary School anticipates a close duel that will be determined by the slightest margins.

All the quarterfinalists from Jinja City made it the Busoga region championship that will be hosted in Kamuli District.

The Busoga region has schools from Iganga, Kamuli, Jinja, Mayuge, Luuka, Kaliilo, Namutumba, Bugiri, Bugweri, Namayingo and Buyende.

The best four schools will qualify for the national championships due in Lira city come May 2026.
