Tragedy in Dokolo: Young Man Killed Instantly by Falling Tree Branch

The deceased has been identified as Okello Godfrey, a resident of Abenyo Cell in Southern Ward.

According to an eyewitness, Abel Ekol, chairperson of Dokolo Business Fraternity, the incident occurred at Te-ilwa as the deceased walked beneath a large tree.

“He was passing under the tree when a big branch suddenly broke and fell on him. He died instantly,” Abel Ekol said.

Ekol added that the incident happened without warning, leaving bystanders in shock.

It is believed that Okello was heading to pick up his child from Lamima Nursery and Primary School at the time of the incident.

Police from Dokolo Central Police Station responded to the scene and conveyed the body to Dokolo Health Centre IV mortuary for a postmortem examination.

By press time, police had not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
