Buikwe: Two Killed in Mabira Crash
Mabira Traffic Police have registered a fatal road crash that occurred at around 7:40 AM on April 9, 2026, at Kinoni in Mabira Forest along the Jinja–Kampala Highway in Buikwe District.
The crash involved three motor vehicles:
UA 050BZ – Isuzu Elf (white), driven by Mpandi Paul, a 30-year-old resident of Namawojjolo, Mukono District.
UBQ 729D – Toyota Hiace (white), driven by an unidentified driver who died on the spot.
UBR 511N – Toyota Hiace (white, PSV), driven by Kasoma Swaibu, a 43-year-old resident of Kireka, Wakiso District.
It is alleged that the Isuzu Elf (UA 050BZ), which was travelling from Kampala towards Jinja, developed brake failure while descending a slope at Kinoni. The Isuzu Elf then reportedly rammed into another Toyota Hiace (UBR 511N) from the rear, pushing it into a trench before it overturned.
A total of seven victims, all passengers in motor vehicle UBQ 729D, were injured. They have been identified as:
Oguta David Junior, 45, resident of Bugembe, Jinja City
Kamale Badru, 30, resident of Kaleerwe, Kampala
