WAKISO: Seven More Primary School Teachers Sent to Jail Over 2025 PLE Malpractices in Wakiso
The Chief Magistrate at Mwanga II Mengo Chief Magistrate’s Court, His Worship Adams Byarugaba, has sentenced 7 teachers accused of involvement in examination malpractice to a Custodial sentence of one year in jail.
The accused who were sentenced on Friday, 10th April, 2026 are alleged to have committed the offense in Kassanda District, during the conduct of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE).
This brings the total number of convicted persons to 15 out of 30 of the Kassanda case which was the epicenter of PLE examination malpractice in 2025.
The case involves the Director of Nkoba Primary School who connived with the District Inspector of Kassanda to cut examination materials, and shared electronically prior to the approved starting time.
The convicts are; Nalima Benedicto, District Inspector of Schools, Kassanda, Ssempijja Emmanuel, Director Nkoba Primary School, Akol Julius, Omagor James, Nuwagira Deus, Ssebatanzi Augustine, Obonipe Joshua, Echodu Misach, Kizza Steven, Tabu Collins Kaka and Kisenyi Ronald (all teachers of Nkoba Primary School.)
Others are; Ochidna Kennedy and Okot Godfrey, teachers at Bright Primary School, Kiteezi in Wakiso, Jalla Michaels of Smiles School in Nansana and Tumuhimbise Ambrose of One Heart Junior School in Busiika.
