Mutundwe: Two Arrested Over Panga Robberies
Police in Nateete have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of panga robberies in Mutundwe, Kampala District.
According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of April 10, 2026, at around 1:00 a.m., when three men armed with pangas and sticks allegedly set up an illegal roadblock at Kweeba Zone in Mutundwe Parish, Rubaga Division.
The suspects reportedly intercepted a boda boda rider carrying two passengers, ordered them to lie down, and began demanding money from them.
Police officers on patrol responded swiftly, intercepted the suspects, and arrested two of them, while one suspect managed to flee the scene.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Engulu William, a 37-year-old private guard, and Mutabazi Paul, 21, a resident of Kabaawo Zone.
Police say efforts are underway to track down the remaining suspect and any accomplices. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
