Charity Marathon at Kololo to Support Orphans as Gen Muhoozi Marks 52 Years
Security agencies have called on Ugandans to take part in a charity marathon at Kololo Independence Grounds, with proceeds aimed at supporting orphans and vulnerable communities as General Muhoozi Kainerugaba celebrates his 52nd birthday.
Security agencies have rallied the public to participate in a marathon organized to mark the 52nd birthday of Muhoozi Kainerugaba, with proceeds set to benefit orphans and other vulnerable groups across the country.
The marathon is scheduled for April 26, 2026, at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala and is expected to attract hundreds of participants from across Uganda.
Each participation kit is priced at Shs 20,000, with funds raised directed towards supporting charitable initiatives targeting disadvantaged communities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Chris Magezi, the Acting Director of Defence Public Information, said the marathon goes beyond celebration and focuses on giving back to society.
He emphasized that the run, held under the theme “Run for Charity, Run for Hope,” is intended to mobilize collective support for those in need while promoting unity and social responsibility.
The initiative aligns with broader efforts by security agencies and partners to use public events as platforms for community support and engagement.
Ugandans have been encouraged to turn up in large numbers to participate in the run and contribute to the cause.
