Engineer Urges Protection of Roads and Bridges in Rukungiri
The Rukungiri District Civil Engineer, Julius Bagira Byakurema, has called on farmers to adhere to infrastructure protection measures to prevent instant damage to roads and bridges.
He made the call on13th April 2036, in his message to the people of the parishes of Ndago and Ruyonza in Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District, during communal work to renovate Ndago Bridge located at the boundary of both parishes, linking them to Kyanyamaishwa and Kiburasano cells respectively.
Ndago Bridge collapsed at the beginning of the year, paralyzing transport and communication and forcing residents to lobby for culverts from the district for its renovation.

The LC2 Chairperson for Ndago Parish, Kajura Deogratius, commended the cooperation exhibited by residents during lobbying and communal work and encouraged continued unity in ensuring peace and stability in the area.
